Old Friend Alert
Earlier today it was reported by Jon Heyman that the Colorado Rockies and Chris Ianetta had reached an agreemant on a 2-year, $8.5 million deal.
Ianetta's first stint with the Rockies was from his rookie season in 2006, all the way to the conclusion of the 2011 season, when he was then traded to the Angels.
Ianetta's power that he will bring to the team is something the Rockies have been missing from the catchers spot for quite sometime now. His veteran presence should also be a major upside to this young pitching staff.
This should be just the first of many moves Colorado makes this offseason. Look for the Rockies to be active during the Winter Meetings as they will do everything they can to get back to Rocktober.
