WADE DAVIS TO SIGN 3 YEAR, $52M CONTRACT WITH ROCKIES

By, Trevor Rich

Wade Davis, a three time all star right hander. will sign a three year contract with the Rockies. This move will make the Rockies the most expensive bullpen in MLB history. The Rockies have built a terrorizing bullpen. By far the best in the National League. If Colorado wasn't a World Series contender before, they sure are now. Hats off to Jeff Bridich and the front office.

The Rockies are have now payed Wade Davis, Brian Shaw, and Jack Mcgee a total of $106 million over the last month. Colorado is clearly going for it. Davis last year was with the Cubs and pitched a 2.30 ERA while earning 56 saves. Davis has been one of the games most dominant relievers over the last couple seasons. Posting a 1.00 ERA in 2014, 0.94 in 2015, 1.87 in 2016, and a 2.30 in 2017.

After making the postseason for the first time in 8 years, the Rockies are clearly making moves to get back there and beyond. The Rockies have legitimized themselves around the sports with these signings. The bullpen is looking sharp and the lineup looks to be as strong as ever. Jeff Bridich has done a fantastic job at bringing a big market, winning vibe to the Rockies since he as taken over as General Manager. The culture is changing and these signings are pushing Colorado into the future. Watch out baseball, the Rockies are coming.
