WHERE DO THE BRONCOS CURRENTLY STAND WITH TWO WEEKS TO GO IN THE REGULAR SEASON?

On Thursday night, the Denver Broncos defeated the Indianapolis Colts by a score of 25-13. Just 5 days prior, the Broncos defeated the Jets at home 23-0. The win against the Jets snapped an 8 game losing streak (second longest in Broncos history). The Broncos color rush jerseys were great, the sky cam not so much, but this game was fun. The Broncos have now won two games in five days and have seemed to figure out things on the offensive side of the ball. Trevor Siemian was brutal for the Broncos until he left the game due to a left shoulder injury. Going 5/9,
67 YDS passing, 0 TD, 1 INT, and a lousy 16.6 QBR. The Broncos were down 10-0 early and they looked like the same team that was playing during that 8 game losing streak. Trevor Siemian went down and Brock Osweiler came in and sparked the offense. Going 12/17, 194 YDS, 2 TD, 0 INT, and a brilliant 99.4 QBR. Osweiler looked like the franchise quarterback this team hoped he be for so long under Peyton Manning.

So where does this leave the Broncos? A few weeks ago it was looking likely that they would land a top 5 pick. Now, it is looking like they could be close to somewhere around pick number 10. There are lots of mixed emotions about this among the fans and the players. The players and coaches want to win. There jobs are on the line each week and always want to perform to there best abilities. The so called tanking notion doesn't exist inside the locker room. Now that is the complete opposite amongst the fans and front office. The fans and the front office tend to look towards the future. The fans have been and always will be Broncos fans. They've been through some of the toughest and best seasons in Broncos history. They also want to make sure there team is set up for the future
. That is where the front office comes along. They too look at the future and are constantly assessing how they can make there team better. John Elway has been in Denver long enough to realize that. He has been involved in someway in 7 of the 8 Super Bowls the Broncos have played in. He is not used to losing and that is what makes this upcoming Broncos offseason so interesting.

The Broncos have lots of things to figure out next year. One of them being a full rebuild, or trying to add to what they have. Both options will require lots of work. Whether they decide to go after Kirk Cousins, or draft a quarterback in the first round, the Broncos have arguably there most pivotal offseason in franchise history coming up. John Elway isn't a patient guy and will try to fix this as soon as he can. During the game on Thursday night, the camera was on Elway and you could just see the frustration in him. You can just tell he can't wait for next year and that he is going to get to work. Elway is going to work with what they have and try to make it better. There not going to rebuild. There going to make themselves better. There have been multiple rumors and reports that Cousins is there guy this offseason. It is looking more likely the Broncos are going to be big players in free agency and not so much the draft. Look for John Elway to do everything he can so that his team can compete for another Super Bowl next year.
