COLORADO NATIVE SAM JONES DECLARES FOR NFL DRAFT

By, Vic Lavigne Over the last decade, the state of Colorado has produced a large list of talented football players who have ended up all over the country. One of the standout players on this list is offensive guard Sam Jones of Arizona State. Jones went to ThunderRidge High School in Highlands Ranch, Colorado before continuing to play football at Arizona State University. In 2012 and 2013 Sam was named an All-Colorado offensive lineman, and was a 4-star recruit coming out of high school. The redshirt junior was plagued with injury his sophomore year but returned his junior year to become one of ASU’s standout players along with being named one of the team’s captains prior to the 2017 season. Jones finished as an All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention. On Thursday morning (1/4), Jones announced via Twitter, that he will be declaring for the 2018 NFL draft.
